Circle of Dragons
Subclass of: Druid
Druids of the Circle of Dragons dedicate themselves to understanding and embodying the power of dragonkind. They recognize dragons as fundamental components of the natural world, each type playing a unique role in the ecosystem. These druids learn to transform into forms that mirror these majestic creatures, adopting their strengths and ancient instincts.
Upon joining this circle, druids gain access to specialized spells and abilities that reflect their deep connection to dragon lore. Their transformations through wild shape blend the appearance and elemental might of dragons, enhancing their presence and impact in both combat and ceremonial roles. This unique path offers druids a profound way to influence the natural and magical world around them.
Druids of the Circle of Dragons devote themselves to the might of dragonkind. These Druids recognize that all dragons play a role in the natural world. However, similar to the differences in dragon ancestry, a druid taking their shape is filled with the same ancestral instincts. Be it fanatical worship, a lust for power or a desire for balance, a Druid ascending into the form of a majestic tyrant can strike fear and inspire awe in those around them.
Circle Spells
2nd-level Circle of Dragons feature
Your bond with dragons grant you access to new spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown on the Circle of Dragons Spells table. Once you gain access to one of these spells, you always have it prepared, and it doesn’t count against the number of spells you can prepare each day. If you gain access to a spell that doesn’t appear on the druid spell list, the spell is nonetheless a druid spell for you.

Dragon Wild Shape
2nd-level Circle of Dragons feature
You gain the ability to use Wild Shape on your turn as a bonus action, rather than as an action.
Additionally, when you transform by Wild Shape, you can choose to transform into a more dangerous form: your dragon transformation. While you are transformed in this way, your chosen beast shape takes on a dragonlike appearance, resembling your Dragon Circle Ancestry. You must choose a beast shape of small size or larger to benefit from your Dragon Wild Shape.
Choose two benefits to gain while in your wild shape from the list below. One must be offensive, and one must be defensive. You choose wild shape benefits each time you wild shape and can never have more than one offensive benefit and one defensive benefit at a time.
As you gain levels in this class, more benefit options become available.
Breath Weapon (Offensive). As an action, you exhale destructive energy in a 15-foot cone. Each creature in the area must make a Dexterity saving throw against your Spell save DC, taking 2d8 damage of the type associated with your Dragon Circle Ancestry on a failed save or half as much on a successful one. After using your breath weapon, you can’t use it again for 1 minute, unless you roll a recharge 6. At the beginning of your turn, roll a d6. On a 6, the breath weapon recharges and is available for use.
Infused Strike (Offensive). When another creature within 30 feet of you that you can see hits a target with a melee weapon attack, as a reaction you can infuse their strike, causing the target to take an extra 1d4 damage of the damage type associated with your Dragon Circle Ancestry.
Resistance (Defensive). Gain resistance to the damage type associated with your Dragon Circle Ancestry.
Enhanced Dragon Wild Shape
6th-level Circle of Dragons feature
Your skill in assuming your dragon transformation improves, granting you the following benefits.
Attacks in your wild shape form count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.

Your infused strike’s damage increases to 1d6.
Heart of a Dragon
10th-level Circle of Dragons feature
The power of your Dragon Wild Shape improves. The following benefits are added to the list of benefits you can choose when assuming your dragon transformation with wild shape.

Dragon Scales (Defensive). You gain a +1 to your AC.
Your breath weapon’s damage increases to 4d6 and extends into a 30-foot cone.
Your infused strike’s damage increases to 1d8.
Dragon Apprentice
14th-level Circle of Dragons feature
Your time spent as a dragon has bled into your normal form. You can choose one of the offensive or defensive benefits even while you’re not in your dragon transformation from wild shape.
Once you choose a transformation benefit, you can’t swap the benefit for another until you finish a short or long rest.
When assuming your dragon transformation with wild shape, you choose two benefits while losing the dragon apprentice benefit until you return to your normal form. You can choose the same benefit you selected as a dragon apprentice when you wild shape.
