College of Weavers
Bards of the College of Weavers bind fate and song, plucking at the threads that bind all lives together. With every note, they knot destinies or unravel them entirely. These bards see the battlefield as a tapestry in motion - one they can rewrite through cunning melody and mystical threadwork. Whether as soothsayers, curse-weavers, or heroes’ heralds, the Weavers are masters of magical entanglement.
Fateful Threadwork (3rd Level)
You gain the ability to weave minor cords of destiny between yourself and others.
As a bonus action, you can create a magical Thread between you and one creature you can see within 60 feet. You can maintain up to your Charisma modifier (minimum 1) Threads at once. Threads last for 1 minute or until you end them (no action required). When you create a Thread, choose one of the following types:
Blessing Thread – When the target makes an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw, it may roll a d4 and add it to the result. This bonus can be used once, then the Thread ends.
Cursing Thread – The next time the target makes an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw, you may use your reaction to impose disadvantage. The Thread then ends.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, regaining all expended uses after a long rest.
Entangling Verse (3rd Level)
When you expend a Bardic Inspiration die on a creature that is currently under the effect of one of your Threads, you can cause the thread to flare and double the Bardic Inspiration die for that roll.
In addition, whenever you apply a Bardic Inspiration die to a creature you are not Threaded to, you can immediately create a Blessing Thread with them at no additional cost (does not count against your uses of Fateful Threadwork).
Snare the Unraveled (6th Level)
When a creature within 60 feet that is Threaded to you fails a saving throw, you may use your reaction to magically bind its misfortune to another.
Choose another creature within 30 feet of the first one. That second creature must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC = your spell save DC) or suffer the same condition or spell effect (if applicable) for its full duration.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.
Twist of Weft (10th Level)
You can now twist Threads in real time.
Whenever a creature you are Threaded to succeeds on an attack roll or saving throw, you can expend a Bardic Inspiration die as a reaction to twist the outcome:
Blessing Thread: The creature can choose to add your Bardic Inspiration die to the damage dealt or mitigated.
Cursing Thread: You may force the creature subtract the Bardic Inspiration die from the roll.
This use consumes both the Thread and the Bardic Inspiration die.
Tapestry of the Unseen (14th Level)
You can now entangle the threads of fate across a wide swath of destiny.
As an action, you can cast fatebind (detailed below) without using a spell slot. You can do so once per long rest.
Fatebind (Feature Spell)Choose up to three creatures you can see within 60 feet. Each must succeed on a Charisma saving throw (DC = your spell save DC) or be fatebound for 1 minute (concentration). While fatebound:
When one takes damage, each other fatebound creature takes psychic damage equal to your Charisma modifier (no save).
If one fatebound creature is healed, all others are healed for half the amount.
A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns.
